Alexander T. Radosevich

Alexander T. Radosevich is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research focuses on the development of new homogeneous catalysts and reagents using inexpensive and earth-abundant p-block elements. The Radosevich group designs phosphorus-based molecular catalysts with small frontier orbital energy gaps and dense spatial orbital arrays, enabling catalytic cycling in the PIII⇌PV redox couple. His work spans inorganic, organometallic, and organic chemistry, emphasizing synthesis and catalysis. Students and postdoctoral researchers in his group gain experience in synthetic techniques and characterization methods such as NMR, UV-Vis, IR, EPR, X-ray diffraction, and electrochemistry.
