Sam Peng is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research focuses on developing optical imaging techniques and nanoprobes to enable long-term single-molecule imaging in living systems. The Peng Laboratory investigates molecular interactions responsible for human diseases, integrating tools such as single-molecule microscopy, super-resolution microscopy, spectroscopy, and nanomaterial engineering. His work explores molecular dynamics, protein-protein interactions, and cellular heterogeneity in neurobiology and cancer biology.
