Regular biography
Professor Mohammad Movassaghi is a member of the Department of Chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research interests include synthetic organic chemistry, with a focus on complex natural product synthesis and the development of new reactions for organic synthesis. The Movassaghi group's work involves the synthesis of structurally interesting and biologically relevant natural products, as well as the discovery and development of new transformations for organic synthesis, including catalytic and asymmetric processes. His research also includes mechanistic studies aimed at understanding the fundamental principles of reactivity and selectivity.
