Ehab Abouheif is a Professor in the Department of Biology at McGill University. His research focuses on Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology, Conservation, Ecology, Evolution and Behaviour. His work explores evolutionary developmental biology, comparative and functional gene expression studies in ants and other insects, the evolution of developmental regulatory genes and gene networks, ecological influences on development and evolution, and the relationship between molecular and morphological evolution. He is also an External Faculty member at the KLI Institute for the study of natural complex systems, Austria, and a Member of the Royal Society of Canada, College of New Artists, Scholars, and Scientists.
