Christopher Walter is a Professor of Physics at Duke University, affiliated with the Physics department. His research focuses on particle physics and cosmology, including studies of neutrinos and the accelerating expansion of the universe. He has contributed to neutrino mass measurements and initiated observational cosmology efforts at Duke, collaborating with the Vera C. Rubin Observatory. Walter is the Chair of Physics at Duke, a position he has held since 2025. His work includes analyzing data from the Rubin Observatory to investigate dark energy and its effects on cosmic expansion.
