Anselm G. Vossen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at Duke University. His research focuses on high-energy physics, particularly in the areas of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD), nucleon structure, and hadron dynamics. He utilizes experimental data from facilities such as Jefferson Lab and the Belle II experiment to investigate fundamental questions about the origin of nucleon properties and the behavior of quarks and gluons. His work includes precision tests of the Standard Model's flavor sector and the development of advanced detector technologies. Vossen's research group also explores spin-orbit coupling in the proton wavefunction and the quantum numbers of hadrons. He is affiliated with the Trinity College of Arts & Sciences and is based in the Physics Building at Duke University.
