Devendra P. Garg is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Duke University. His research interests include modeling, simulation, and control of dynamic systems and robotics, with a focus on nonlinear phenomena in physical systems such as robots, automated manufacturing, and high-speed ground transportation. He has conducted research on dynamics and control of ground-based, air-cushion, and magnetically levitated vehicles. His work also involves the coordination and control of multiple robots handling structural objects, path planning, collision avoidance, and sensor data integration. Garg has published extensively in journals such as IEEE Transactions on Mechatronics, Journal of Robotics, and ASME Transactions.
