Linda Franzoni

Linda Franzoni is a Professor of the Practice in the Thomas Lord Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Duke University. Her research focuses on acoustics of enclosures, underwater acoustics, structural dynamics, and vibration. Her work includes developing computationally efficient methods for predicting sound pressure levels in high-frequency sound fields and applying analytical/numerical matching techniques to underwater acoustics. She has contributed to the field through publications in journals such as the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America and has taught courses such as ME 421L and ME 424L. Her research has practical applications in areas such as vehicle interiors and submarine acoustics.
