Michael Reiter is the James B. Duke Distinguished Professor of Computer Science and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering (Joint) at Duke University's Department of Computer Science. His research focuses on computer and network security, blockchains, Byzantine fault-tolerant distributed systems, and applied cryptography. Reiter's work explores the design and analysis of secure systems and protocols. He maintains an active research group and regularly recruits Ph.D. students.
