Anru Zhang

Anru Zhang is an Eugene Anson Stead, Jr. M.D. Associate Professor, with joint primary appointments in the Department of Biostatistics & Bioinformatics and the Department of Computer Science at Duke University. He holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Peking University. His research interests include generative AI, tensor learning, electronic health records, healthcare, microbiome studies, and high-dimensional statistics. He is also an Associate Editor for several statistical journals and a Fellow of the American Statistical Association. His work has been recognized with awards such as the Leo Breiman Junior Award, COPSS Emerging Leader Award, and IMS Tweedie Award.
