Regular biography
Dr. Tuan Vo-Dinh is the R. Eugene and Susie E. Goodson Distinguished Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Duke University, affiliated with the Department of Chemistry. He is also the Director of the Fitzpatrick Institute for Photonics. His research focuses on biophotonics, nanophotonics, plasmonics, and related technologies for bioimaging and diagnostics. Dr. Vo-Dinh's work includes the development of nanobiosensors and nanochips for point-of-care diagnostics and theranostics applications. His research spans multi-modality bioimaging, molecular diagnostics, and immunotherapy, with an emphasis on early disease detection and treatment. He is actively involved in projects that integrate artificial intelligence and machine learning for data analysis in biomedical applications.
