Charlie T. Cox is an Associate Professor of the Practice of Chemistry at Duke University, affiliated with the Chemistry department in the Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. His research interests focus on chemical education, particularly in general and organic chemistry. His work examines student progression through the two-year chemistry sequence, challenges in acid-base chemistry, thermodynamics, and kinetics, and how these impact performance in organic chemistry. Additionally, he investigates safety training and inclusive classroom practices in chemistry. Cox serves as the Director of Undergraduate Studies in Chemistry.
