Thomas F. Schultz is an Associate Professor of the Practice of Marine Molecular Conservation at Duke University, affiliated with the Nicholas School of the Environment and the Biology department at Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. His research focuses on conservation genetics in wild marine populations, employing molecular, genetic, and genomic tools. Current projects include studies on river herring, juvenile summer flounder, blue crabs, barnacle adhesion, and environmental DNA for species detection. He also leads and collaborates on grants related to marine ecosystems and undergraduate research initiatives.
