Jessica Sawyer is an Assistant Research Professor of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology at Duke University, affiliated with the Department of Biology and the Pharmacology & Cancer Biology department. Her research focuses on organ boundary communication and non-stem-cell mechanisms of repair within the Fox Lab. Dr. Sawyer is also involved in teaching and mentorship, serving as the Director of Undergraduate Studies in Pharmacology and Director of the Amgen Scholars Program at Duke. She has contributed to several publications in journals such as Development and Nature Communications, exploring topics like tissue maintenance, cellular nematic order, and mRNA expression during neuron differentiation.
