Meagan Mna Dunphy-Daly is an Assistant Professor of the Practice in Experiential Education in the Division of Marine Science and Conservation at Duke University. She is affiliated with the Nicholas School of the Environment and the Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. Her research focuses on marine plastic pollution and its potential health impacts. Dunphy-Daly has published work on the effects of plastic waste in ecosystems and the analysis of microbial species with plastic-degrading potential. She is also involved in grants related to plastic additives and their ecological impacts. Additionally, she serves as Associate Dean of Experiential Education and Undergraduate Research at the Nicholas School of the Environment.
