Regular biography
Wallace W. H. Mak is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on Computer Graphics and Visualization, with publications in areas such as direct volume rendering and data visualization. He teaches courses including ENGG1003, ENGG1004, CSCI2740, and CSCI3180. Mak also serves as the head coach of the CUHK programming team and is involved in the advisory board of the Hong Kong Olympiad in Informatics committee. He has received awards for teaching and coaching, including the Department Exemplary Teaching Award (2024) and Outstanding Coach Awards at the ICPC Asia East Continent Final Contest.
