Chuck-jee Chau is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research interests include Computer Music, Music Information Retrieval, Signal Processing, Audio Engineering, Music/Visual Programming, and Music Technology. Chau obtained his PhD from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, focusing on timbre analysis and music emotion. He has developed and launched the first computer music undergraduate course at CUHK in 2019. Additionally, he is a collaborative pianist and mallet percussionist involved in local music performances and musical theatre.
