Regular biography
Professor Yunhui Liu is the Choh-Ming Li Professor of Mechanical and Automation Engineering (by courtesy) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He holds a B.Eng. (BIT), M.Eng. (Osaka), and Ph.D. (Tokyo). After working at the Electrotechnical Laboratory of Japan, he joined The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1995 and was promoted to Professor in 2002. He is the Director of the CUHK T Stone Robotics Institute and the Hong Kong Centre for Logistics Robotics. His research interests include robotics, automation, and machine vision. He has published over 500 papers and is a Fellow of IEEE and HKIE.
