Regular biography
Zhiding Liang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research interests include Computer Engineering, Computer Architecture, Computer Theory, and Quantum Computing. Liang received his B.Sc. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame. He was an assistant professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2024 to 2025. His work has been published in prestigious conferences and journals, including ISCA, DAC, ICCAD, QCE, SIGMETRICS, TCAD, TVLSI, TSG, TQE, and TVCG. He is also the co-founder of the Quantum Computer System (QuCS) Lecture Series and a major contributor to the TorchQuantum library.
