Regular biography
Shaohua Li is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He holds a Doctor of Science degree from ETH Zurich and both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from USTC. His research interests include programming languages, software engineering, security, and systems, with a focus on the reliability, performance, and security of emerging software systems. His work has been recognized with awards such as the Distinguished Artifact Award from PLDI 2024, the Distinguished Artifact Award from ASPLOS 2024, the Distinguished Paper Award from OOPSLA 2023, and the Meta Security Research Award in 2022. Recent publications include work on compiler testing, sanitizer implementations, and fuzzing techniques.
