Irwin King

Irwin King is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research interests include trustworthy AI, machine learning, social computing, and data mining. He is a Fellow of ACM, IEEE, AAAI, and INNS. King holds a B.Sc. (Caltech), M.Sc., and Ph.D. (USC). He is the Director of the Machine Intelligence and Social Computing (MISC) Lab and the Centre for Learning Innovation and Technology (ELITE). He has served in leadership roles at numerous conferences, including WebConf, ICONIP, and WSDM. He has received awards such as the 2021 INNS Dennis Gabor Award and the 2020 APNNS Outstanding Achievement Award. His work includes influential publications on recommender systems and graph neural networks.
