Hong Cheng

Hong Cheng is a Professor (by courtesy) in the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2008. Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Data and Software Engineering, Big Data, Databases, Data Mining, and Knowledge Management. She has contributed to numerous publications in top-tier conferences and journals, including Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, VLDB Endowment, and IEEE Data Engineering. Her work has been recognized with awards such as the Vice-Chancellor's Exemplary Teaching Award in 2010 and the Best Student Paper Award in 2007.
