Regular biography
Professor Oleksandr Savateev is an academic staff member in the Department of Chemistry at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research interests include organic synthesis mediated by heterogeneous carbon nitride photocatalysts and the application of photocharged semiconductors in organic synthesis. He has held positions such as Group leader and Postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, Germany, and has been a Vice-Chancellor Associate Professor since 2023. His work has been published in prominent journals, including Advanced Functional Materials and Nature Communications. He is also involved in editorial boards for several scientific journals.
