Daniel Ralph

Daniel Ralph is the F.R. Newman Professor of Physics at Cornell University's Department of Physics. His research focuses on experimental condensed matter physics, particularly the electronic, magnetic, and optical properties of nanoscale samples. Ralph's work involves creating nanometer-scale devices using the Cornell NanoScale Science & Technology Facility and conducting measurements in Clark Hall. His research group investigates spin-transfer torque effects and their applications in magnetic memory and high-speed signal processing. Ralph has collaborated with several groups at Cornell and beyond, including those of Greg Fuchs, Katja Nowack, and Farhan Rana.
