Anders Ryd

Anders Ryd is a Professor in the Department of Physics at Cornell University. His research focuses on experimental elementary particle physics, particularly using the CMS detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. His work includes studies of the Higgs boson and searches for supersymmetric particles. Ryd has been involved with the CMS experiment since 2005 and was CMS run coordinator during 2010-2011. He has also contributed to the CLEO-c experiment at Cornell. Ryd's research interests include the exploration of new physics at the weak energy scale and the study of dark matter. He is the U.S. CMS deputy upgrade project manager for the HL-LHC upgrades. Ryd has held positions at Cornell University since 2003, including Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and currently Professor.
