Abigail Crites

Abigail Crites is an Assistant Professor & Fred Young Faculty Fellow in the Department of Physics at Cornell University. Her research focuses on the early universe, specifically investigating the period less than 1 billion years after the Big Bang through the development and use of mm-wavelength instruments. These instruments are deployed on telescopes to study early galaxies during the epoch of reionization and the cosmic microwave background radiation. She is currently building the Tomographic Ionized Carbon Intensity Mapping Experiment (TIME), a 200-300 GHz spectrometer designed to study the epoch of reionization. Her work also includes contributions to the CMB-S4 project and CCAT-prime on the FYST.
