Regular biography
Nigel Lockyer is the Director of the Cornell Laboratory for Accelerator-based Sciences and Education at Cornell University's Department of Physics. His research interests include accelerator physics, with a focus on advancing the science of CLASSE and the study of particle and accelerator physics. He has held leadership roles at Fermilab, including Director from 2013 to 2022, and has been involved in various academic and research capacities at institutions such as the University of British Columbia and the University of Pennsylvania. His professional experience includes serving as Special Advisor to the Fermilab Research Alliance and as Board Chair and Vice-Chair at Fermilab.
