Jim Alexander

Jim Alexander is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Physics at Cornell University. His research interests include experimental elementary particle physics, beyond the Standard Model physics, and particle detector technology. He has contributed to studies involving the Large Hadron Collider and the search for new physics, including investigations into dark matter and supersymmetry. Alexander has mentored numerous graduate and undergraduate students in these areas. He has held various academic positions at Cornell University, including Director of Graduate Studies, and has been involved in research collaborations at institutions such as the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center and KEK in Japan.
