Steven A. Altman is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Management and Organizations at the New York University Stern School of Business. He is also the Director of the DHL Initiative on Globalization at NYU Stern’s Center for the Future of Management. His research focuses on understanding the patterns of international flows of goods, services, capital, information, and people, as well as how cross-country differences and distances shape these flows and their implications for business and public policy. He has managed the development of various teaching and decision-making tools based on his research and is co-author of the DHL Global Connectedness Index. Prior to joining NYU Stern, he was a Senior Research Associate and Lecturer at IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain.
