Regular biography
Dr Len Coote is an Associate Professor in the School of Business at The University of Queensland. His research focuses on economic choices and decision-making processes, particularly in marketing contexts. He has developed a flexible model integrating mathematical approaches from Daniel McFadden and Karl Joreskog. Dr Coote's teaching interests include quantitative marketing and business analytics, emphasizing data literacy and the application of methods such as data visualization and machine learning. He has held several leadership roles at the University of Queensland, including Acting Dean of the Business School and Head of the Marketing Discipline. Dr Coote is also actively involved in community service, such as serving as Vice-Chair of the Australian Consortium for Social and Political Research.
