Dr Noreen Breakey

Dr Noreen Breakey is a Lecturer in the School of Business at The University of Queensland. She joined the tourism team at UQ in 2005 and has held roles such as Director for Undergraduate Programs and Coordinator of the First Year Experience. Dr Breakey is a member of the award-winning MTHEM Foundation Year Teaching Team and has received a UQ Excellence in Teaching & Learning Award. Her research focuses on sustainable tourism, environmental ethics, and ecotourism, with publications on tourism and hospitality education. She has supervised six PhD scholars and is an active member of Ecotourism Australia. Dr Breakey received her PhD in tourism destination development from UQ in 2006.

Noreen Breakey is a researcher at the University of Queensland with a focus on tourism and hospitality. She has examined the influence of international students and tourism on local labor markets and the role of tourism in promoting environmental and cultural stewardship.
