Dr Michael Turner

Dr Michael Turner is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting at The University of Queensland Business School, where he serves as Program Convenor for the Bachelor of Advanced Business (Honours). His research focuses on strategic management accounting, corporate and climate-related disclosure, ethical decision-making, and accounting education with analytics and programming. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles, including work in FT50 journals and leading ABDC A*/A outlets. His research has received support from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, the German Research Foundation, and the Office of the Australian Accounting Standards Board. Dr Turner also develops teaching cases using Python and R and leads curriculum reforms for the Bachelor of Advanced Business (Honours) program.

Through empirical studies and experimental methods, he contributes to understanding the ethical and managerial implications of accounting practices in various industries.
