Andrei Golov is a Professor of Condensed Matter Physics at The University of Manchester, School of Physics and Astronomy. His research focuses on superfluid helium, particularly the study of quantized vortices and quantum turbulence in the zero-temperature limit. He leads the Low Temperature Physics Group and investigates properties of superfluid 4He turbulence, including the dynamics of vortex line tangles and reconnections. Golov's work also explores mobile dislocations in solid helium at ultra-low temperatures. His research contributes to understanding quantum behavior in condensed matter systems, with applications in quantum fluids and solids.
