Regular biography
Michael Godfrey is a Lecturer in the Department of Physics at The University of Manchester. His research interests include semiconductor theory, with a focus on carrier dynamics, localization, and recombination in semiconductor microstructures. He also explores carrier capture and thermionic emission in quantum wells and dots, as well as many-body effects in dense carrier systems. His work addresses the quantum theory of mechanical systems with holonomic and nonholonomic constraints. Godfrey's research involves theoretical and computational studies of quantum transport phenomena, particularly in the context of carrier relaxation and dephasing mechanisms in semiconductor structures.
