Robert Beswick

Robert Beswick is a Professor of Astrophysics at The University of Manchester, affiliated with the Department of Physics. His research focuses on extragalactic radio astronomy, including star-formation processes, accretion mechanisms, and transient astronomical events. He is involved in the e-MERLIN and VLBI National Facilities and plays a key role in the Centre for Excellence in Radio Astronomy (CERA). Beswick leads the e-MERLIN Legacy project, LeMMINGS, which aims to image 300 nearby galaxies with high-resolution capabilities. He is also a Joint-Director of the UK's SKA Regional Centre and contributes to various research initiatives and collaborations.
