Professor Charlie C.L. Wang is a Professor of Smart Manufacturing at The University of Manchester, Department of Mechanical Engineering. His research focuses on digital manufacturing, computational design, additive manufacturing, soft robotics, geometric computing, and computer graphics. He is recognized for his work in geometry-driven intelligence for design and manufacturing, integrating manufacturability, material behavior, and process constraints into geometric design variables. He holds an EPSRC Open Fellowship (2023-2028) on Field Computation Based Kernel for Vector 3D Printing.
