Sergey Utyuzhnikov

Sergey Utyuzhnikov is a Reader in Computational Mechanics at The University of Manchester, Department of Mechanical Engineering. His research interests include industrial mathematics, boundary equations, potentials theory, artificial boundary conditions, computational fluid dynamics, and hypersonic flows. He has held various academic positions, including Full Professor at Moscow Institute of Physics & Technology and Senior Research Fellow at the University of Manchester. His work contributes to Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 7. Utyuzhnikov's research spans computational mathematics, engineering design, and aerospace engineering, with a focus on material and structural response at high strain rates and turbulence modelling.
