Dr. Kali-Babu Katnam is a Senior Lecturer in Structural Engineering at The University of Manchester, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. His research focuses on polymer composite materials and structures, with an emphasis on experimental characterization and computational modelling of structural bonded joints, composite repairs, multi-scale toughened composite laminates, and nano/micro-toughened structural adhesives. He is currently accepting PhD students for projects including multi-scale modelling of hierarchical polymer composites, damage tolerance of multi-scale toughened composite laminate structures, vibration-based structural health monitoring of composite structures, and additively manufactured composite structures with tailored interfaces.
