Dr Chikwesiri Imediegwu is a Lecturer in Design Optimisation for Sustainable Manufacturing in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at The University of Manchester. He joined the university in June 2025. Following his doctorate program at Imperial College London, where he developed a framework for the multiscale optimisation of 3D printable lattice structures, he has held three postdoctoral research positions. He now leads the Sustainable Multifunctional Materials by Optimised Design (SMMOD Group) within the Faculty of Engineering.
