Regular biography
Otto Jan Bakker is a Lecturer in Mechanical Design at The University of Manchester, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. His research interests include mechanical engineering design, control, finite element modelling, and manufacturing systems. He is actively involved in projects related to process optimization, automation, and non-destructive testing. Bakker's work contributes to Sustainable Development Goals 3 and 9. He is affiliated with the IET and has published research in areas such as deep learning applications in manufacturing and industry 4.0 technologies.
