Regular biography
Professor Ulrike Eggert is a Professor of Chemical Biology at King's College London, affiliated with the Department of Chemistry and the Randall Centre for Cell and Molecular Biophysics. Her research focuses on cytokinesis, the final stage of cell division, using chemical biology and cell biology approaches to study the process, pathway, protein, and metabolite levels. Her work addresses the challenges of investigating cytokinesis due to its complexity and rapid dynamics, with an emphasis on developing probes for high temporal control. She has received funding from the Wellcome Trust and the European Research Council. Her research is part of the King’s MechanoBiology Centre, which fosters interdisciplinary mechanobiology research.
