Dylan Rankin

Dylan Rankin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Pennsylvania. His research focuses on particle physics, utilizing data from proton-proton collisions at the CERN Large Hadron Collider to explore the Standard Model and search for new physics. He employs machine learning techniques for tasks such as jet classification and event reconstruction. Rankin is also involved in developing trigger and data acquisition systems at the LHC, with an emphasis on hardware acceleration and low-latency machine learning inference. He is a member of the FastML collaboration and has contributed to various publications and projects in high-energy physics and gravitational-wave astronomy.
