A.T. Charlie Johnson is a Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Pennsylvania. His research focuses on the development of single-atomic-layer nanomaterials, including graphene, boron nitride, and transition metal dichalcogenides. His work explores the physical and chemical properties of these materials and their application in chemical detection technologies. Johnson's research involves collaboration with both on-campus and global groups, and he utilizes the Quattrone Nanofabrication Facility for device fabrication. He has contributed to the creation of biosensors for disease diagnosis, security, and environmental monitoring. Johnson is also involved in teaching various physics courses and has authored several publications in nanotechnology and biosensors.
