Evelyn Thomson

Evelyn Thomson is a Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research focuses on Experimental Particle Physics and Collider Physics. She has conducted experiments at e+e− and hadron colliders, including work on the W boson mass at ALEPH, top quark properties at CDF, and searches for physics beyond the standard model at ATLAS. Thomson has contributed to significant discoveries, including the Higgs boson, and has been recognized with awards such as the Ira H. Abrams Memorial Award for Distinguished Teaching and an American Physical Society Fellow designation. She has also led and supported numerous collaborations and graduate student research projects.
