Regular biography
UEDA Kazushi is an associate professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at The University of Tokyo. His research interests include algebraic geometry, symplectic geometry, and mathematical physics, with a focus on mirror symmetry, a relationship between complex and symplectic geometries inspired by string theory. His work explores topics such as homological mirror symmetry for various geometric objects, including toric orbifolds and the quintic 3-fold. Ueda has contributed to publications in journals such as Geometry and Topology and Communications in Mathematical Physics. His research is conducted within the Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences at The University of Tokyo.
