Regular biography
Yuichiro TANAKA is an Assistant Professor in the Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences at The University of Tokyo. His research focuses on geometry of homogeneous spaces and non-commutative harmonic analysis, with an emphasis on the geometry and analysis of Lie groups, particularly the construction of slices for group-actions and eigenfunctions for invariant differential operators. His current research includes studies on visible actions of compact Lie groups on complex spherical varieties and a Cartan decomposition for reductive real spherical homogeneous spaces. His work has been published in journals such as the Kyoto Journal of Mathematics and the Journal of Differential Geometry.
