Regular biography
Ryo Takada is an Associate Professor in the Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences at The University of Tokyo. His research focuses on the mathematical analysis of nonlinear partial differential equations arising in fluid dynamics, particularly the well-posedness of the Euler, Navier-Stokes, and Boussinesq equations, as well as the stability and asymptotics of their solutions. His recent work explores dispersion and anisotropy in rotating stably stratified fluids. Takada has published extensively in journals such as SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis, Journal of Functional Analysis, and Indiana University Mathematics Journal. He is a member of the Mathematical Society of Japan and has received the Takebe Katahiro Prize for Encouragement of Young Researchers (2012) and the 15th Hukuhara Prize (2023).
