Atsushi Shiho is a professor at the Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences, The University of Tokyo. His research focuses on arithmetic geometry, particularly the study of p-adic objects in arithmetic geometry. His current research involves p-adic cohomologies and p-adic fundamental groups of (log) algebraic varieties of positive characteristic and p-adic differential equations on (log) p-adic analytic spaces. Shiho has published extensively in areas such as crystalline fundamental groups, convergent isocrystals, and logarithmic extensions of overconvergent isocrystals. He has received several awards, including the JSPS Prize in 2016, the Spring Prize of the Mathematical Society of Japan in 2011, and the Young Scientists' Award in 2010.
