Chihiro Matsui is an associate professor in the Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences at The University of Tokyo. His research focuses on mathematical physics, particularly quantum solvable models and solvable stochastic processes. His work explores how supersymmetry arises in quantum field theories through higher-spin extensions of non-supersymmetric spin chains. He also investigates solvable stochastic processes, such as the asymmetric simple exclusion process, which has applications in micromeritics and traffic engineering. Matsui's research includes the study of exact physical quantities derived from algebraic relations and the analysis of correlation functions in integrable spin chains.
