Regular biography
KIDA Yoshikata is a professor at the Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences, The University of Tokyo. His research focuses on discrete groups and ergodic theory, particularly orbit equivalence relations, measured groupoids, amenability, and rigidity. His work explores the relationship between functional-analytic and geometric properties of groups and their orbit equivalence relations. KIDA's research includes studies on the classification of mathematical objects through equivalence relations and their measurable structures. His publications address topics such as measure equivalence rigidity, amalgamated free products, and invariants of orbit equivalence relations. He has received several awards, including the Inoue Research Award for Young Scientists and the JSPS Prize.
